Here is proof that she does in fact love her little brother!

I just posted Kassi's birthday/last few months, but since my computer has been having problems letting me edit and publish, I have given up and decided to post a few pictures that weren't working before to prove that Kassi does in fact LOVE her baby brother. The afternoon we spent together before Kassi's birthday, she dressed up as a princess and Nathan was her prince. She fed prince Nathan, held him, and kissed him - the top two pictures were taken that day and Nathan loved it - for the most part - not so much in the top picture. So precious.
And these pictures below were taken a few months ago - going in for the kiss! In the other post, I forgot to mention what else Kassi wanted to do on that afternoon together (at home with Nathan). She had me read her a strawberry shortcake book several times in a row, watch a movie (strawberry shortcake, of course), and play with some magnetic letters on the side of the filing cabinet. She knows some long forgotten language and kept writing 15-20 letter words that she seemed to understand for me. We had a lot of fun, just me, my littlest princess, and my littlest prince that afternoon. And, I apologize for the extremely long birthday/Kassi catch up post below. Apparently I take way too many pictures when my kids are getting into trouble or something :). I am such a horrible journal keeper - that when I do actually write, I write WAY too much and you all know I'm a picture crazy woman, with my kids & family anyway! Thought I'd give you all fair warning!

Kassi is 3!

Nathan's first 6 months!

I've been pretty busy the last 6 months, and I've been very good at keeping Mommy busy so that she hardly has a minute to update this little blog of ours, so I told her, I'd be happy to let her have a break and do my own little post. This picture was taken on my 6 month birthday the other day. My siblings decided to try Drew's old hat on me and it fits me quite nicely. They say I'm pretty cute in it. I'm definitely cheering on the BYU basketball team - Jimmer is going to take them all the way to the Championship game if you ask me! I really wanted to fill out the brackets, but Mom and Dad didn't understand me when I tried to tell them so. Maybe next year?!?We had some family pictures taken when I was 2 months old. Mommy told the photographer that I should have my pictures taken first. The crazy lady thought she knew better and saved me for last, but I did give her one big smile at the end of a very long session. I made her work for it though! And, my sisters were very emotional after the whole ordeal. We were all starving when it was finally over, especially me. I don't like to go more than a couple of hours without food. I hope we don't have to do that again for a very long time! You can see my smile on the side of our blog with the pictures of us kids.Mostly I've been busy growing. You can see that as I have been filling out my car seat. Above is a picture of me coming home from the hospital. Look at me now. I'm a whopping 16 pounds now and proud of it! Everybody loves my chubs and clobbers me with kisses! Can you blame them? I know I'm irresistible and I kind of like it.
I don't mind riding in the car if I'm fed and dry. But, I hate being belted into my seat and I usually put up a pretty good fight. Unfortunately, everyone seems to be a little overprotective when it comes to my safety, so this is one battle I always lose. I'm learning to be a better sport about it. I don't understand why everyone else gets to face forward except for me?!? Life really isn't fair - I think I've heard my mom say that a time or two to us kiddos.
And, there is always the hope that we're going somewhere really exciting .... like .... a .... the grocery store or something. Although, I really get upset when I don't get to try all of the Costco samples like everyone else. Mommy says when I have my real birthday that I'll get to try some.
You can see how I've grown here too. I fill up the baby sink pretty well now and I always amaze Mommy with how much water I can kick out of the sink. I like to see how wet I can get her and the counter and watch the expression on her face when I splash her really good. She only fills the sink about a quarter of the way full, but I somehow manage to get half of it on her and the counter. It is a pretty fun game and I have to say I always win this time!
Here are my ginormous muscles that Mommy mistakenly calls chub.
I really don't have a recent shot in the tub. We'll have to work on that. But, I sure do love my baths!
Even better than the bath itself is the massage afterwards. My skin gets really dry, worse than any of my siblings, so Mommy always lathers me up after my bath with Cetiphil cream, which seems to do the job. I've tried to tell Mom that I really need some cucumbers on my eyes, but she hasn't thought of that yet. But, I won't complain. She gives a pretty good massage.
Yep, I know what you're thinking. I'm pretty cute. I guess I'll admit it.
Mommy tried putting me in the exersaucer when I started getting the hang of holding my head up. I love all the soft blankies that my nice family and friends have given me. Mommy used them to help me hold my head up when I first started trying out my exersaucer and johnny jumper. It was pretty fun being all snuggled up and watching her get some work done - for about 2 minute increments :).
The exersaucer is pretty fun, but the johnny jumper keeps me entertained much longer. I like to move around and I really get going in this thingy! Mom used to jump for hours when she was a baby, fall asleep and then jump some more. I have had a couple times where I've fallen asleep for a few minutes and woken up happy too. Mommy loves how much fun I have while she cleans the kitchen or gets other work done and everyone loves to see me jump!
Here are a couple of the first times I tried it out with a little fluffy propping to do the trick.
You can tell I'm in motion in the above picture. I'm pretty talented. Everyone says so. I think I'll be a pretty good rebounder someday!
Mommy almost cried, but we had to trim my hair a little with the Flowbee. Some of my pictures have disappeared, so you don't get to see the Flowbee in action, but you can see what desperate need I was in for a trim. I'm a little worried that this bald spot will never go away, but hopefully the top will grow in good and I can have a nice comb over?!?
Kassi had a little too much fun letting me view myself in the mirror.
I'm a pretty good little helper. I like to help Mommy carry the laundry basket from the laundry room to the family room. She couldn't do it without me.
This picture was taken right after my bath. Mommy loves to give me kisses under my cheeks and some of my first smiles were when she did this. It was tricky for her to get a picture of it since I would just smile for a second after the kisses and not smile for the camera. But, she was determined this day to get one on camera. So, she'd give me kisses and have the camera ready to shoot the picture as soon as she moved her head away. She finally got this one. I love kisses! I have started to giggle too, but we'll save that for another post.
I was really busy in December. I wrote my first Christmas letter - all in rhyme, and I had my first acting job. I got to play the lead role in our family's Christmas play. It was pretty easy. I think I'm a natural.
I'm also a natural when it comes to eating. I didn't really care for it the first couple times, but Mommy bribed me by adding a little banana or applesauce and then I was hooked. In fact, no one can feed me fast enough. I get a little too excited when it comes to eating food!
Mmmmm. Nothing like a bowl of rice cereal with a little formula and applesauce, bananas, squash, green beans, or other veggies mashed up into puree. Life is good.
I let my sisters feed me. They kind of make a mess, but I don't mind getting a nice little bath. In fact, that was one of my first giggles was when Mommy was washing all the food off my hands. I love the water. I think I'll be like my sister Kassi and want to play in the sink all the time. She has skin problems on her hands because she tries to wash her hands ALL the time. So, she gets special soap and nice little hand massages with my special cream.
Oh yeah. I bet you can't get enough of me, just like I can't get enough food. I hope you enjoyed seeing how much I've been growing. I sure have a lot of fun. I'm so excited that it is now spring - I LOVE going outside. Mommy took a bunch of pictures of us on a walk and at the park a few weeks ago, so stay tuned for more cuteness. Hope you have a nice warm bowl of something good today! I just started eating oatmeal. Good stuff! Mommy says carrots and sweet potatoes are next! I'm really going to make a good mess with those!
